I will be teaching the elementary students once a week, due to the cohorts. We will be looking at a lot of hands on learning, and land based learning since our time is limited weekly.
I will be teaching the grade 7 & 8's twice a week, there we will use the ASLA curriculum. This will allow the students to use different styles of learning tools to learn their language.
High school: I will be teaching the Grade 10 & 20 Nahkawē course this fall semester, I will teach these students daily for 65 minutes each.
High school students will be utilizing their laptops for assignments. we will keep language learning as paperless as we possibly can.
** below is my daily schedule**
The picture above is the language nest in CPEC. The language classroom is equipped with plexiglass at every table, which seats 4 students each. The students are required to wear their masks while in class, and hand sanitizer is available for everyone who comes to the language nest. My classroom is sanitized before and after each class enters the room. This is to ensure the safety of all students and staff in our school. we want to stay in classroom learning and teaching so our rules need to be consistent and necessary.
